For my recent review of the JVC Everio GZ-MS120 video camera (see review here; www.youtube.com ) I went for a walk in and around Brisbane city, (including locations like South Bank City Beach and Indooroopilly) to get some sample and test footage from the cam to show in the review vid, after getting home and importing the footage I began to review and clip what I'd captured, picking out sections suitable for the review demo. Somehow though, probably thanks to my obsessive compulsive nature, I got a bit carried away, I built a Blues music track in Garageband, threw it on a timeline in Final Cut Pro started dropping clips into it and before I knew it I had *accidentally* with no real intent to do so, produced a full three minute musical montage in tribute to daily life in Brisbane Australia.

The buildings in the center of the city are a mixture of ancient smaller houses and new stylish skyscrapers. A lot of people come here, you´ll see them walking by or shopping. Right next to the city is a nice park and the west end, which shows a completly different life compared to downtown. Here everything is quiet and peaceful.

Wellington Phoenix v Brisbane Roar 9-January-2010 www.a-league.com.au Herbert full of praise for Dadi Eugene Dadi was the toast of Wellington on Saturday after his double on debut helped secure the Phoenix their first ever Hyundai A-League win against Brisbane Roar. After Tim Brown had opened the scoring in the 26th minute, Dadi turned on the magic to double the home side's lead early in the second half with a spectacular bicycle kick before a smart finish six minutes later handed Wellington a 3-0 lead. Dutch striker Sergio van Dijk scored a late goal for the Roar to make the final score 3-1. "It was quality, absolute quality," said Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert of Dadi's first goal in Wellington colours. "I think that's the mark of the player. He brings that. He's got a brand Eugene and he'll be a crowd favourite." "It was just an excellent goal. That's in his locker. I don't think every player has that but he certainly does." Skipper Andrew Durante, who set up the Ivory Coast...

Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar 15 - August 2009 www.a-league.com.au Victory, Roar play out 3-3 epic Melbourne and Brisbane have shared the spoils after a pulsating 3-3 draw at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night which saw the hosts come from two goals down at half-time to pinch a point. Five of the six goals were from the top drawer, while the other was a penalty. The Victory looked destined for consecutive home losses to start the season when Danny Tiatto fired in a long range effort and Sergio van Dijk converted a spot kick to make it 2-0 inside 23 minutes. While Carlos Hernandez pulled one back with a cracking goal of his own, a brilliant run and finish from Henrique made it 3-1 at the break. However, Melbourne rescued a point when Danny Allsopp turned and fired accurately just after the hour before a Hernandez free-kick bullet on 70 minutes saw both sides claim their first point of the season. A rollicking first half started on a controversial note, with Archie Thompson booked...

Brisbane Roar v Gold Coast United 8 - August - 2009 www.a-league.com.au Culina fires for United Qantas Socceroos midfielder Jason Culina has made a memorable homecoming to Australia, scoring in his Hyundai A-League debut to see Gold Coast United open their account with a 3-1 win over Brisbane Roar in an eventful inaugural South-East Queensland derby at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night. Culina, who became the highest profile Hyundai A-League signing earlier this year when he transferred to United from Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven, found space in the box in the 59th minute and sent the ball whistling into the back of the net with apparent ease. The Roar actually dominated possession and created a host of opportunities throughout the match, but in the end it was the clinical finishing of Culina and New Zealand international Shane Smeltz that proved to be the difference. Sergio van Dijk gave the home crowd hope of a miraculous turnaround when he slotted a penalty in the 89th minute,...

Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory 21-November-2009 www.a-league.com.au Victory find their Roar Melbourne has bounced back from last round's shock 4-0 loss to Central Coast, reclaiming top spot on the Hyundai A-League ladder with a gutsy 1-0 win over Brisbane at Suncorp Staidum on Saturday night. Victory spearhead Archie Thompson snared his sixth goal for the season in the eighth minute and the visitors defended gamely to hold on, with the Roar controlling possession and creating a handful of opportunities. Thompson had a great chance in the opening minute, but the Roar then controlled the tempo until Melbourne captain Kevin Muscat's precise dead-ball cross set up the only goal of the match. Thompson worked his way in front of Brisbane defender Andrew Packer and made the most of the space, powering his diving header past outstretched Roar keeper Griffin mcmaster. The visitors looked to sit back after establishing the lead in what was a physical match. It proved to be a very difficult...
