As a United States Marine this is one of my favorite movies staring one of the GREATEST actors Jack Webb as a United States Marine Corps Drill Instructor. Mr. jack Webb had served in our Armed Forces during WWII with the Army Air Corps as a crew member on B-26 and as Drill Sergeant. Anyone who as ever faced a Drill Instructor can relate. Even thou this is a clean version of what happens, the message and even the simple things as waking the recruits in the morning is spot on accurate.

Wurzel 5, one of the leading swiss hip hop acts releases their third album in fall 2006, «Für di» is a single with some summer hit potential. If you see people's reaction at the music festivals this might come true. The video was realised in a cooperation with art director ata bozaci from atalier.com. He illustrated the comic caracters, the production house wiseguys.ch used them to pimp the studio shooting. Studio day came out of an award show for swiss advertising movies where the wiseguys.ch won a special price for another music video (Baze: «Leider», also available on youtube.com).

Asa Di Vaar was composed by Guru Nanak Dev ji with many 'shaloks' of Guru Angad ji later inserted by Guru Arjan Dev ji . It's theme focuses on how a man can elevate himself for union with God. Asa-di-var----means "A ballad of hope;" it is one of the basic sacred compositions for the Sikhs and is sung every morning in congregation in Gurudwaras. The Var is an heroic ode which describes the brave deeds of a hero. It is generally sung to inspire armies going to battle or to inspire people with martial spirit. The Asa-di-var is normally sung in the Ass raga. It consists of 24 stanzas (Pauris) and 44 Staves (Salokas) and was originated by Guru Nanak later, Guru Angad added another 15 staves of his own. In congregation, the musicians sing this var along with Chhants (quatrains) of Guru Ramdas. The stanzas express the ideas in general, while the staves clarify them by example and detail. Social and religious issues are then related, to ordinary life.

nicodimattia.com Hey Kids, If you are asking "Why those proportions?" or "why the head is too big?", or "the legs are too small", etc, the answer is "BECAUSE THIS IS A CARICATURE".... I know you like photorealism and those stuff, BUT I don´t paint only that. Hope you understand. I enjoy doing this caricature stuff as much as you enjoy photorealism or whatever, you know. And I also know the proportions of this one are weird. I did that intentionally !. By the way thanks for all your nice comments, constructive critics and subscriptions. I really appreciate them. And the next painting will be an hyper photorealism. Hope you give me some original ideas... C ya http

Direct gas impingement AR-15s suck. Wait a minute, maybe that's piston driven AR-15s suck. Now that I have your attention I'll say they're both good and each has its own pluses and minuses that need your consideration. Long proven in many battles, the DI (direct impingement) M4/M16/AR-15 series are very reliable if maintained and lubricated properly. If it were not so it never would have lasted this long in US military service and many of the "it's broke, its needs replacing now" arguments ring hollow with me. That's not to say it cant have its problems and is failure-free. In the DI design by Eugene Stoner, the introduction of cyclic gas into the receiver makes things dirty and heats up critical components. That heat can accelerate wear and possible parts failure in extended full auto fire and makes cleaning a chore. Also running shorter barrel lengths on a DI gun is taxing to the system and it often needs heavier buffer, spring, and maybe even port adjustments to ensure...
