Anti-government protesters in Thailand - known as the Red Shirts - have spilt blood on the prime minister's office. They drew it from their own veins, but in the end it was nowhere near the amount they'd promised. Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports.

Violent protests hit the streets of Pittsburgh, where the G20 summit kicked off. Police used tear gas, stun grenades, rubber bullets and even ultra-sound machines to disperse the angry crowd of mainly anti-globalism protesters.

The Red Shirt protesters have said they will move their campaign to the seat of Thai political power -Government House. on Monday, tens of thousands gathered outside an army compound in the capital Bangkok. But Abhisit Vejjajiva, the prime minister was flown out by military helicopter, refusing to give in to their demands that he step aside. Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok (15 Mar 2010)
